Centennial

Win M1873 Win M1873C

Cannot penetrate wood or other cover.
High Velocity
Nagant M1895 High Velocity
A hot-loaded bullet with a strong powder charge combined with a lighter projectile tip significantly boosts the muzzle velocity, but increases recoil slightly. Great for ranged combat. Bornheim
Nag M1895
Officer

Vetterli
Win M1873
Win M1873C

Slightly stronger recoil.

Silenced weapons fire louder shots, along with a muzzle flash that can give the shooter's position away.

Spitzer
Lebel 1886 Spitzer
Spitzer rounds revolutionize rifle ballistics, improving both penetration and muzzle velocity, though adding slightly stronger recoil. They are more stable in flight and can punch clean through multiple targets, but often cause less severe wounds. Berthier

Lebel
Mosin

Deals less than 125 DMG to the upper chest.

Slightly stronger recoil.

Dumdum
Caldwell Conversion DumDum
These modified bullets expand and shatter on impact, causing severe bleeding, but at the expense of penetration power and muzzle velocity. However, this additional stopping power has little effect on monsters and Infected. Conversion
Pax
Springfield

New Army

Cannot penetrate wood or other cover.

Reduced headshot range.

Reduced muzzle velocity.

FMJ
Vetterl Karabiner FMJ
A hardened casing increases this bullet's penetration power, though additional weight reduces muzzle speed. Better retains damage over distance. Conversion
LeMat
MartiniHenry
Vetterli
Centennial

Scottfield
Sparks

New Army

Reduced muzzle velocity. The reduction is more significant for rifles than pistols.
Explosive
Martini Henry Explosive
This bullet contains a small charge that bursts on impact, scattering shrapnel over an area--the larger the bullet size, the greater the area. Reduced penetration, velocity, and damaqe, but a well-aimed shot can tear apart Grunts, Hives, and Hellhounds. MartiniHenry
Nitro
Springfield
Uppercut
Cannot penetrate wood or other cover.

Reduced muzzle velocity.

Flechette
Shotgun Flechette
This shell contains a number of smaller dart-like projectiles which fan out in a tight spread. Cannot pierce most surfaces, but can saturate an area and cause bleeding damage. Rival
Specter
Terminus
Cannot penetrate wood or other cover.

Slug
Shotgun Slug
Single solid projectile that can be used in shotguns to provide an advantage in range and penetration over buckshot. Reduced ammunition. Not effective at long distances. Rival

Ammunition statistics[ | ]

Different ammunition have different damage falloff and penetration falloff. Also each ammunition have different bullet speed and maximum range.

Ammo type Max Distance (m)
Compact 300
Medium 350
Long 500
Shotgun 45
Special 300

With 1.0 every weapon has their own bullet speed. So when before for example ever long ammo weapon had a speed of 800 m/s. Now it is depending on the weapon itself.

You can see each weapons bullet speed in the store in-game

Ammunition boxes and packages[ | ]

Throughout the map boxes with ammunition can be found. Read more about them here.

Damage Drop Information[ | ]

The formula to calculate the damage on a specific limb at a specific range is:
( [Weapon-Store Damage value] / [Upper Torso Multiplier] ) * [Limb Multiplier] * [Distance Multiplier]

  • The Weapon-Store Damage value is the damage value displayed in the store (f.e. 149 for the Sparks LRR)
  • Upper torso multiplier needs to be divided since the store value shows the upper torso damage at 10m.
  • Limb multiplier depends on the ammo type and the limb that got hit. The value can be take out of the Body part multipliers image (lower image)
  • Distance multiplier needs to be taken out of the Projectile drop image (upper image)

Trivia[ | ]

  • Update 6.0 introduced the possibility to loot crossbow bolts from special ammo packets
  • The special ammo box Voynich translates to AHA, Most likely a reference to the American Hunters Association
