There are currently 2 game modes in Hunt: Showdown - Bounty Hunt and Quickplay

Game modes[edit | edit source]

Bounty Hunt[edit | edit source]

Main article: Bounty Hunt

In this mode players recruit hunters and gear them up to take on contracts. Each contract can target one of (or both) monsters, which can be found on one of two maps. To find the monster they must either stumble upon them or narrow down their location by investigating clues. After finding them they must be killed and banished, which allows hunters to pick up bounty, that can be delivered to contract givers in exchange for money and experience.

Quickplay[edit | edit source]

Main article: Quickplay

In this mode free hunter is provided to each player. Player can choose look of the hunter (withing the tiers available to his bloodline level) and weapon type (pistol, shotgun, melee, random), which will be randomly chosen from a pool of low grade variants.

The hunters are damned, and must be saved by acquiring Wellspring before the time runs out. To find it they must activate Rifts or earn it from a body of another hunter that got it first. Only one hunter can survive, provided he possesses the Wellspring when the time runs out or all other hunters perishes. Surviving hunter may then by recruited for free with all earned items and traits.
