Adapted for combat on land, this explosive harpoon can be fired short distances and deals tremendous damage on direct impact.

- The Bomb Lance is the largest melee weapon in the game.
- While the weapon description states that the harpoon deals tremendous damage on impact, it actually deals very little impact damage. The explosion, however, triggers 2 seconds after impact, and does indeed deal tremendous damage.
- Meatheads die to a single explosive harpoon.
- A hunter with the Bulwark Trait can survive the explosive harpoon at full health, dealing about 130 damage.
- Three explosive harpoons is enough to kill any of the bosses.

- If a Bomb Lance Harpoon is shot up in the air, it explodes midair after a few seconds.
- The Bomb Lance was added in Update 6.0.
